Irori a Japanese Way of Having Hygge

It is time to think of Danish hygge when Satoyama is covered with snow. While it is hygge to sit by the fire-place in Denmark, it is to sit around Irori in Japan.

Mind you, there aren’t many houses with Irori left these days even in Satoyama. We are lucky to have friends who have Irori.
