Yesterday I went to Kyoto with my son to shoot some scenes for my YouTube videos.
The first location was a Starbucks coffee shop which was built in a traditional Japanese house. Yes, there is a Starbucks in a Kominka near Kiyomizu Temple, and it is the only place in the world.
Next, we went to Fushimi Inari Shrine, which is famous for its Senbon Torii, and it is the most popular tourist destination among foreign visitors. Actually it was my first time to go there. I have been to Kyoto many times by now and yet never had a chance to go there. So as much as I went there for work, we enjoyed the sightseeing just like other tourists.
Well, I did, I don’t know about my son because he was struggling to climb up the hill. Yes, Senbon Torii Gates were very long, much longer than I expected. It had nearly 10000 torii gates and continued all the way to the top of Mt. Inari.
Well, I will show you how the Starbucks and Fushimi Inari tours were in the videos.
By the way, Sajiki Mado Art Festival in Hino Brewing that I shot in the last YouTube video were featured in an NHK’s program the other day.
