In the last post, I said that you needed to be careful with the law of attraction because you were tapping into the universal energy. It was a spiritual energy, and everything you manifested would have a consequence.

Well, come to think of it, this is something taught in most religions isn’t it? God is not only one who has supernatural power, evil forces, too, and when you tap into energies of evil forces, you become very powerful, but there are consequences.

That is the main theme of Star Wars movies, too, isn’t it? Yes, the dark side-haha.

Some people who advocate the law of attraction seem to think that this kind of belief is the one we are conditioned to hold by traditional religions to limit our potential, but in reality, we are free to do anything we want.

This seems to make sense, too.

Which idea do you believe?

I can relate to both views.

I think we are free to create anything we want. We are here to create.

The question is what it means by we want.

What do we want?

There are a lot of things we want to do; we want to eat ice cream, we want to go surfing, we want to drive a fancy car, we want to see our family happy, we want to see our friends happy, we want to see the world where everybody has enough food and energy and lives with dignity.

But then, if I ask you what it is that you want to do the most, what will be your answer? If you had to choose one thing out of many things you want, what would you choose?

Well, in order for the law of attraction to work, you need to wish it very strongly, which means you need to commit to getting it, because you’ll be visualizing it every day.

That very thought will be your regular thought and you will be projecting the vibration which accompanies it to the collective consciousness, every single day.

What do you wish?

Therefore, in Zen and a Way of Sustainable Prosperity, I don’t tell people to just think of something they want. I tell people to spend a lot of time determining what it is that they really want. What is the thing that is worth wishing for, concentrating on every single day for the next few years?
