Satoyama Near Lake Biwa: Politics

The top opposition party the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan’s Shiga branch has finally been established, and it is going to change the political dynamics in Shiga Prefecture for two reasons.

First, it will bring back the joint struggle of the opposition parties.

Second, CDP’s slogan Bottom-Up Politics will change the way we participate in politics. They are open to ideas and suggestions from the general public, and they are planning to organize café style events to interact with the citizens.  

Today’s opening event, too, they conducted an interactive session to encourage audience participation.
